Welcome to the premiere horror literary convention presented by the Horror Writers Association. Registration for StokerCon 2025 is now available! This year the convention is being hosted by the city of Stamford, Connecticut, at the Hilton Stamford Hotel and Executive Meeting Center. We’re taking over from June 12th through the 15th, 2025.
Saturday June 14, 2025 1:00pm - 1:45pm EDT
Themes about human nature and social commentary abound in written and visual horror. The panelists will discuss how horror can be used to process real-life experiences, how they have grown as individuals from consuming and writing horror, and what themes they hope their audiences will see within their works. Further, the panel will also dissect the myth of the morose and depressed writer and suggest ways positive psychology can help writers in their work.
