About me
Brian McAuley is a WGA screenwriter who has written everything from family sitcoms to horror films for major studios and networks. His debut novel Curse of the Reaper was named one of the Best Horror Books of 2022 by Esquire. In 2023, his holiday slasher novella Candy Cain Kills earned praise from Kirkus, Booklist, and Library Journal. The sequel Candy Cain Kills Again: The Second Slaying will be published in November 2024. His short fiction and nonfiction have appeared in Dark Matter Magazine, Nightmare Magazine, Shortwave Magazine, and Monstrous Magazine. Brian is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Screenwriting at ASU’s Sidney Poitier New American Film School.
